School Rules

General Rules

Students who are Singapore Citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the pledge. Students will take the Pledge with the right fist over the heart.
Students are to wear the prescribed school uniform and modification to the uniform is not allowed.
Being clean shaven e.g. All male students must be clean-shaven at all times. Moustache and beards are not allowed.
Students are not allowed to have in their possession any weapon. They are also not allowed to bring any weapon-like item which is intended to be used to cause harm to others.
Students must attend school activities punctually and remain in the school premise throughout the stipulated hours. Absence must be covered by a medical certificate or letter from parents/guardians.
Students must be respectful towards teachers and school staff.
Students must respect and care for property belonging to the school and others.
Students must treat each other with respect and compassion. *Bullying is a serious offence with severe consequences and will not be tolerated.
Students must display integrity at all times, especially during examinations.

*Bullying involves repeated and persistent behaviours that causes hurt, distress or humiliations. It can be physical, verbal, psychological or social in nature. It includes behaviours that are carried out through electronic or digital media.

School Rules on Attire

Uniforms

Students must wear the school uniform, with name tag affixed on the right side and aligned with the school logo, on normal school days. School captains shall put on the stipulated scarf and badge
Students must wear the school PE attire with name tag on days with PE lessons, CCAs or activities as instructed. School captains shall put on the stipulated badge.
Students must wear plain white socks that cover the ball of the ankle.
Students must wear plain, all black, low-cut canvas shoes.

School Rules on Grooming

Students must keep their hair neat, proper and in its original colour.
Students must keep their nails short and clean.
Students mus not wear fashion accessories or jewellery; except girls who may wear one identical pair of small ear studs, one on each ear lobe.

Hairstyles - Boys

Hair must not touch the eyebrows, ears or shirt collar.
Side-burns must be very short and not beyond the top of the ear.
No fanciful hair-cut is allowed. (E.g., extreme contrasts in lengths or patterns and/or side shaved hairstyles)

Hairstyles - Girls

Fringe must be kept above the eyebrown.
Hair must be tied up if it touches the base of the collar.
Hair accessories must be black.
